1. Firma - Nu-mi da pace
- because it's one of the few that actually makes me smile when singing and because it's short enough not to get boring

2. Seether - Careless Whisper
- because it was a shock for me, because I didn't know the lyrics before hearing this version of the song, because Shaun Morgan is said to be the new Kurt Cobain (in a less enthusiastic, world changing way)

3. Muse - Undisclosed Desires
- because I had it on repeat for a lot of time, and because no one seems to notice the whispering voice over that actually makes it addictive (I really think it's a psychological thing)

4. Leonard Cohen - The Gypsy's Wife (live in London, 2008)
- because of the lingering of words in the mouths of the Webb sisters, because of the mistery and because it makes me miss missing

5. Placebo - Battle for the Sun
- because they are back, and because I... I... I... I... I saw the great man again this year (and of course the Queen of Sweden as well)

6. Pet Shop Boys - Building A Wall
- because it's different, because it has a point like all their songs, and because Chris sings!.. well, talks.

7. Puccini, Turandot - Non piangere, Liu'!
- because I would die to see it, but I can't see it, because it's not played in the country, and because it tops every other opera by a mile

8. Nirvana - Where Did You Sleep Last Night
- because it started with a girl once singing it when she wasn't supposed to, because music is above everything else and because I can't ignore it

9. Leonard Cohen - Lover Lover Lover (live, 2009)
- because it speaks so much more to me now, because of Javier Mas' fingers; I have no words to describe this one.

10. Pet Shop Boys - Viva La Vida-Domino Dancing
- because a great cover shouldn't be judged by the books

11. Evo - Doar un om de invins
- because of the smell of fresh unexperienced blood, imperfection, because it sounds like a demo, because of the sobriety, because "a mai ramas un colt neaprins, cu capul pe spate se vede mai bine"

12. Pet Shop Boys - The Way It Used To Be
- because it reminds me of when I was young and loving PSB and had a lot of spare time to listen to the radio for a time long enough to catch them on the air and record their music; because it's pure and purety is no longer sung these days

13. Placebo - Happy You're Gone
- because it reminds me to how it's like to feel, to jump, to have an explosion of energy, like I used to

14. The Rasmus - Livin' In A World Without You
- because it's a good driving song and has a good beat

15. Guess Who - Locul potrivit
- because I needed something to give me faith in Romanian music

16. Kid Rock - All Summer Long
- because of the Dutch and the Deutsch

17. Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams
- because I sometimes feel that life is a house

18. Jay-Z feat Mr Hudson - Young Forever
- because I was sad when Jay-Z said he would never put out an album again

19. Lady GaGa - Paparazzi
- because she's like the young Pet Shop Boys, except that she's a woman and she's just one person

20. Amy Winehouse - Wake Up Alone
- because it's for real, because it's sad
